SF
Supercross - 2004 Dave's
Draft
(The positive side of 04SFSX)
It all starts with the club
rewarding itself for another fine crab feed. We decide the
club needs a little stress relief at the supercross. Shane M pulls
through again in the fouth quarter with 25 great seats lower level
in front of the triple. Chris then one ups with a 50 passenger
luxury bus tv's and all. We had sold some spots on the bus to any
members friends needing a ride, thanks for joining us. It turned out
perfect with seating due to some members driving themselves to go to
after race party. Start time is delayed one hour due to Ivan's late
night battle with an Indian Casino, a Mini Cooper and adult
beverages.
Once rolling everyone settles in and
places an order of jack and cokes to our new stewardess Ivan. What a
great way for a group to travel to the SX. We make it there in
descent time a little traffic
and
a pull over to let Tony and Keith off for the gay pride parade, see
you fellas later.
(Tony was the hot ticket at the parade - Here is a
guy looking to take Dotty's place)------>
It's there we picked up a new passenger
who wants to join us named Dotty Polka, what a gal, never a problem
all day. It's here we take a group photo the last time will all be
together. It's also here we learn that the nice quiet members don't
drink jack and cokes much and miscalculated their tolerance levels.
It's decided a good walk would do us all
good so we head to the pits. Tony being the gentleman that he is
tells Dotty that since she forgot shoes he would give her a piggy
back ride, what a guy.

Everyone in the pits is drawn toward
Tony and his new friend, m
eeting
Bevo, Lamy, Playmates, our bud Jeff, and even showed
their patriotism to the armed
forces.

Back
to the bus for jackets and a little top off for those of us able.
Dotty Polka decides she's had enough and is gonna just rest in the
bus.

Another
mile back to the track and we're
in. What a great place for a SX. The stadium is amazing with not a
bad seat in the house. Once seated, Steve decides he needs a nap.
Good night Steve! We'll wake you when it's over. Hey Steve since
you're sleeping you don't mind holding our jackets do ya, I didn't
think so. How bout some popcorn, Steve, Steve, you OK?
Walking around and watching the races
was the best, so much electricity, everyone yelling, what a great
night of racing it was. Back to the bus we go (at least I thought).
Head count says we're short one, we wait
an hour till the bus driver says she can't wait any longer. One guy
jumps out and say's he'll find him. The driver was being pretty cool
and starts heading toward the stadium right down a one way O-@#$.
"Any of you losers sober enough to help me back this bus out of
here?" the driver asked. Once we got turned around the drivers
patience were done, no phone calls - nothing, we're out of here. Oh
by the way you guys sure pee a lot - the holding tanks full
(payback).
Half-way home we pull over at a Wendy's
, nobody makes it inside. Good thing the doors were locked. They let
some walk through the drive thru for food. Damn it, all I want when
I got the munchies is Taco Bell. Slept (others might say passed out)
till Chris's shop and headed home, thanks for driving Wayne.
I sure am glad they show the race the
next morning so I could tell my wife what happened !!!
